Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola found plenty of positives after their 2-0 defeat of Fulham.

Guardiola said afterwards his side were somewhat profligate in the final third against Fulham, but believes momentum is building after a stuttering start to their league campaign.

“Yeah [we could have scored more goals], but I see the positive things after the performances of the last three or four games," he said.

“More positives than the opposite. I am delighted with the performance in Portugal, the chances we created were so good. Burnley had so few shots, today Fulham had one, Porto one.

“We will improve, we know it, but if we win the games, it's enough."

He added: "In the Champions League, we have done the job but we have prestige to play for, it's a serious game and we will respect the competition - Marseille and Olympiakos are still playing for Europa League [qualification].

"After this game we will see about United and how we want to play.

"We want to be there until the end, wins games. To win the Premier League you have to win a lot of games."
