Chelsea youngster George McEachran has cut short his loan at MVV Maastricht with immediate effect.
The 20-year-old midfielder was supposed to stay with the Dutch second division club until the end of the season.
But MVV released a statement on their website this past weekend explaining that McEachran had returned to Chelsea immediately due to 'compelling private reasons'.
The Blues have yet to release their own statement about McEachran, who has been at the club since the age of nine.
McEacharan made three appearances in his short stint with MVV.
