Former Lazio defender Bruno Pereirinha has revealed Manchester United failed in an attempt to sign Felipe Anderson.
The Brazilian midfielder is currently with Porto on-loan from West Ham United this season.
Pereirinha played with Anderson at Lazio and says United tried to sign him before his move to the Irons.
He told A Bola: "The transfer (to Porto) did not surprise me because he was also close to signing for United.
"But Lazio at the time did not want to do without him."
