Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta is confident Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will appreciate the poster that has appeared just outside the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Barcelona presidential candidate made headlines on Tuesday after the ironic poster was unveiled in Madrid.
"I'm sure he has taken it with sportsmanship, we have always had a cordial relationship, [and maintained] institutional harmony," he told reporters.
"Even these things can be taken with a sense of humour.
"It is typical of our style, our way of being, to restore pride to Barcelona fans. It has a touch of irony, it is subtle and I think it is a skilful move.
"It has no intention of offending anyone, only to promote our candidacy in Madrid. Don't search for any other meaning because there isn't one," he stated
Madrid woke up to the 1,000 square foot poster situated just 100 metres away from the Bernabeu in Paseo de la Habana.
"Excited to see you all again," it read.
