Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi felt fatigue was a factor after defeat at home to Hellas Verona.
The result came just days after Lazio had drawn with Club Brugge to reach the Champions League final 16.
“We knew that we could have some problems. The team put in the performance, though, as we created so many chances and I don't remember Pepe Reina making a save," Inzaghi told DAZN.
“However, when you make mistakes like that in defence, of course you're going to lose. The first shot was going wide and the second we gave it away cheaply.
“We know in Serie A that every game is unpredictable and difficult. Now we'll be back on the field in a couple of days and try to recover the points we lost today.
“Before the lockdown, with our fans in our stadium, we were infallible. Now the campaign is strange, we miss our supporters, largely because we have quite a few players whose mood can change based on atmosphere."
