Kota Kinabalu: Dato’ Verdon Bahanda has become the biggest shareholder of Sabah Football Club Sdn Bhd following the recent Sabah Football Association (Safa) Supreme Council meeting.The local businessman, who was appointed as the Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sabah FC on November 12, said on Friday that he now owns 70 per cent of the shares with 30 per cent belonging to Safa. “I now own 70 per cent of Sabah FC shares, while Safa, who previously owned 100 per cent of the club, only have 30 per cent of shares.

“The matter was decided unanimously by the Safa Supreme Council members in the recent meeting,” he said after a meeting with the players following their fitness training session at Likas Stadium in the morning.
