The Belgium midfielder has been driving negotiations himself and is now ready to put pen to paper.
De Bruyne's current deal runs to 2023 and City have been keen to extend the arrangement and also reward the midfielder with a pay-rise.
The midfielder has been with the club since 2015.
This season, De Bruyne has scored 2 goals and produced 11 assists this season in 16 appearances in all competitions.
