Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho admits that he wants to play Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele in the same midfield at some stage.
Both players have shown flashes of their class for the club, particularly Lo Celso.
Fans believe they could be the best midfield pairing for the team, but the emergence of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and others means competition for places is intense.
Spurs take on Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday.
"It's not difficult. Difficult is when you don't have any one of them," Mourinho told reporters when asked if it's difficult to pick between the two.
"Can they play together? Yes, they can. The physical condition for both is very important.
"To play with the two together, we need them to be fit and play with the right intensity. And they will play together. I'm not saying tomorrow or Sunday or next week but they will play together.
"It's not a problem when I have both growing up and playing quite well."
