Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas says coach Zinedine Zidane deserves time to turn things around.
Zidane's job is in doubt, with Real Madrid needing victory against Borussia Monchengladbach next week to reach the Champions League round of 16.
Casillas told AS: "We are just starting, Madrid depends on itself in the Champions League, the Liga is quite even ... it is a different year.
"Zizou is a magnificent coach, a good friend and will do everything possible to have Madrid as high up as possible. You cannot live in the past, but he has earned the right to trust him."
On Sergio Ramos, and his renewal, Casillas added: "Sergio is an emblem of Real Madrid and the best must be in Madrid."
