Speed up new Membakut community hall, govt urged

MEMBAKUT: The Government has been urged to expedite the construction of a new hall to replace the old rundown community hall here. 

Ahmad Yakob, who represented Membakut Assemblyman Datuk Arifin Mohd Arif, made the call after a survey of the existing Membakut Community Hall with engineers from the District Council and Membakut community leaders. 

“The people of Membakut really need the hall for them to hold public gatherings and events such as excellent student award presentation.

“Youths also use the hall for sports activities like badminton and volleyball, but the hall has since been closed due to its dilapidated condition,” he said.
