Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Economic Advisory Council (Seac) Chairman Tan Sri David Chu (inset pic) suggested the State Government formulate a long-term and detailed plan to develop Pulau Gaya, near here, into a major tourist attraction like Singapore’s Sentosa Island. He hoped this would be included in the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan, a new development plan for Sabah, which will be launched by the State Government next month. Kota Kinabalu as a city mesmerises many foreign visitors because it is located between South China Sea and the lush tropical mountains, he said, adding Kota Kinabalu was officially elevated to a city in 2000.
