Boosting community, local authorities cooperation

THE State Local Government and Housing Ministry hopes to boost cooperation between the community and local authorities in addressing issues related to hygiene, public property management and security through its Community Development Programme. 

Its Minister, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic), said this is in line with one of the main objectives of the National Community Policy and strategies in the Sustainable Goals.

“In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the programme will focus more towards awareness programmes through campaigns and talks on Covid-19 control measures,” he said, adding that RM100,000 has been allocated for the implementation of this programme next year.

He also said Covid-19 management by the State Government has shown good results, adding that infections in the State are stable and showing a declining trend.
