Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi was delighted with their 2-0 defeat of Napoli.
Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto struck the goals for Lazio.
“Seeing the attitude we showed tonight, you might think that we only raise our game against the big clubs. I can see why you'd think that," Inzaghi told Sky Italia.
“We did drop some points, partly due to the strain of the Champions League, but objectively the performance wasn't that bad against Verona and Benevento. The only one we got completely wrong in Serie A was at home to Udinese.
“The whole team did well tonight and I asked everyone to make a strong start against a Napoli side that deserved more midweek against Inter. They had injuries, so did we, but I feel we deserved the victory in performance, spirit and every other way."
