Kota Kinabalu: Nabawan Assemblyman, Senator Datuk Abdul Ghani Mohamed Yassin (pic), is optimistic that the 2021 State Budget with the theme “Sabah Maju Jaya” has a clear halatuju (direction) to face various problems affecting the State, including the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the Malaysian Statistics Department’s data for Sabah showed that the economic sector is expected to contract 15 per cent to 19 per cent and considered as the worst for two consecutive years until today compared to the year 2009.

“Despite that, this situation is not a problem which we cannot deal with together. It is a situation that teaches us all to think and strive to re-develop Sabah. The Sabah Development Plan called “Sabah Maju Jaya” (SMJ) 2021-2025 that will become our main guide is currently being formulated meticulously and smartly by the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
