Manchester United have told Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini to forget about keeping hold of Amad Diallo.
Signed by United in October, the teenage winger is due to join United this month.
La Dea coach Gasperini stated yesterday he hoped they could convince United to extend Diallo's loan to June.
But Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported: "Confirmed. Amad Diallo is set to join Manchester United in January and not in June, despite Atalanta trying to keep him on loan until the end of the season.
"Diallo won't be part Atalanta team for next match against Sassuolo.
"(Ole Gunnar) Solskjaer wants him right now."
