Kota Kinabalu: Sabah can be a leading state to spearhead Malaysia’s National Biomass Strategy (NBS) which was launched less than 10 years ago in 2011.The State can achieve this, on its journey to achieve industrialised status by 2030, if not earlier, with the right catalytic leadership thrust on a focused strategy for success. The NBS needs new impetus for success with incentivised financing of biomass investments, technologies application and commercialisation as the creation of a circular economy is in progress – meaning a sustainable economy which conserves useable inputs, with waste minimized and resources reused rather than being treated as waste after their initial use.
