Newcastle United are ready to re-sign Jetro Willems from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Evening Chronicle says Willems has made it clear that he would welcome a return to Tyneside but it's never been clear how strong the interest from the Magpies was in bringing him back, but it is a possibility this month.
While manager Steve Bruce is looking at the loan market with finances tight the club are also exploring the possibility of bringing Eintracht Frankfurt's Willems back.
The Holland international is available for a cut-price deal for teams who want to take him in January after rejecting a new contract offer from the Bundesliga side. He can sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs now.
