Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font has again stated he expects to bring Pep Guardiola back to the club.
While confirming Al Sadd coach Xavi was his preferred choice for the dugout, Font says Manchester City manager Guardiola's return also remains on the agenda.
He explained, “I want to create the conditions to attract and retain the greatest talents like Guardiola who is the best coach in the world.
"This despite Pep confirming that what he did in 2008 is now within the grasp of other generations like Xavi's. He thinks Xavi is an ideal candidate to take over the leadership of the football project.
"When he leaves City, the top priority will be trying to get Guardiola back in another role."
