Ku Li tests positive for Covid-19

PETALING JAYA: Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has tested positive for Covid-19.

Two aides to the Gua Musang MP have confirmed that he had contracted the virus.

“It’s true but he seems to be all right and resting now. He is known to be rather healthy for his age,” said one aide.

There have been reports that he is currently being treated at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre in Petaling Jaya.

Another aide said Tengku Razaleigh, more commonly known as Ku Li, had come into close contact with others who were Covid-19 positive.

Tengku Razaleigh is the latest elected representative from Kelantan to contract Covid-19 after Galas assemblyman Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim and Nenggiri assemblyman Ab Aziz Yusoff.

Gua Musang Umno Youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani has also tested positive for the virus.

It was previously reported that Gua Musang is among the six red zones in the east coast state. The other red zone districts are Kota Bharu, Kuala Krai, Machang, Tumpat and Bachok.
