Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with how his side adapted against Wolves in the Premier League.

The Toffees took the lead away from home, but were pegged back by half time for a 1-1 scoreline.

But they got the 2-1 win thanks to a Michael Keane goal, and saw off Wolves to claim all three points.

Ancelotti told his post-match press conference: "Our performance was good, I'm really pleased for the performance.

"We played the game that we had planned. It was a little bit different from the past as we didn't have a striker available from the beginning, but I think we adapted really well attacking the flank with a lot of efficiency.

"The first goal was a fantastic combination."

He added: "We played differently, we didn't have strikers available.

"I could have put Tosun as centre-forward, but he played two hours on Saturday after coming back from a long injury. I think it would have been a big risk to play him.

"We adapted to the players that we had, obviously doing really well.

"The position of James I think created problems for the opponent, as did the position of Gylfi. Iwobi did a fantastic performance and scored the first goal."

"He's [Keane] played with a lot of consistency, he's always focused, he scores goals - important goals," Ancelotti remarked.

"At the back, we were focused.

"I have to say that all the back four tonight had a fantastic performance."
