Two new Sabah clusters, with 40 positive cases

Kota Kinabalu: Two new clusters stemming from workplace screenings were identified in the State on Sunday, which saw over 40 employees testing positive for Covid-19. 

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said the clusters, namely the Ladang Segama Cluster and Jalan Segama Cluster, were both identified in Lahad Datu. 

The index case of the Ladang Segama Cluster was detected during a workplace screening under the Perkeso programme on Jan 16. 

“The close contacts have been identified and investigations in identifying the source of infection are being carried out,” Masidi said in a statement, Sunday, adding there are 22 cumulative cases in this cluster.
