Man arrested over murder of woman

Kota Kinabalu: Police have arrested a 30-year-old with 13 criminal and narcotics records for allegedly killing a woman in a bush behind a hotel in Bandaran Berjaya, here, on Jan 17.

City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji (pic) said the suspect, from Kota Marudu, was arrested at Jalan Maktab Gaya at 7.30pm on Friday. 

He said the suspect, who tested positive for methamphetamine, admitted during interrogation to punching the victim several times during an argument at a hill, near where the victim lived, on the night of the incident

“The suspect who got to know the victim about six months ago in Kg Air is believed to be jealous of the victim who was seen walking with another man before the incident happened.
