Kota Kinabalu: Several non-partisan groups and individuals expressed disappointment with a Warisan-Plus lady leader for raising the illegal immigrant issue amid this life-threatening Covid-19 pandemic.

They described the recent statement of Warisan Wirawati Deputy Chief Jo-Anna Sue Henley Rampas (pic) questioning the Government on the no-action to repatriate undocumented people in Sabah as mere “grandstanding, cheap publicity and unacceptable.”

On Thursday, Jo-Anna reportedly challenged the Perikatan Nasional (PN) to settle the perennial illegal immigrant issue in Sabah by deporting undocumented people without any further delay.

She said Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyuddin Yassin and Home Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin must now fulfil their promises in view of the present “political alignment” between Sabah and Putrajaya.
