Chelsea are not in the mood to sell Ross Barkley on the cheap to Aston Villa.
The Englishman is on loan with Villa for the rest of this season.
He has hugely impressed in the no.10 role for Villa as they are in the top half of the table this season.
According to BirminghamLive, Chelsea will not agree to a cut price deal, which could mean Villa turn their attention elsewhere.
One player being mentioned is David Brooks from Bournemouth, who has much lower wages and would command a lower transfer fee.
Barkley is on £100,000-plus weekly wages at Chelsea, and the Blues would want a big fee given his performances this season.
