Sheffield United youngster George Broadbent has joined K Beerschot VA on loan to the end of the season.
The Belgian club is part-owned by United owner Prince Abdullah and is one of the teams serving as a feeder side as part of United World.
Beerschot currently sit sixth in the Belgium top flight and it represents a good move for the youngster to test himself at that level.
Academy manager Jack Lester says Broadbent had a couple of options for a loan move but is delighted he took the opportunity to go overseas.
"George had a few options and chose to go and challenge himself in Belgium's top league with Beerschot," he told sufc.co.uk.
"It's great that he relished that challenge.
"There are several of our young players loaned out to clubs at different levels, and it's great for clubs to want them in their first team and for the players to gain from that experience."
