Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand is prepared to leave St Mary's this year.

Bertrand intends to leave the club if his salary is not raised, says Goal.

The 31-year-old Englishman expects a salary increase, but the club is not going to offer the player better conditions.

Southampton does not want to destroy their salary system in order to keep the player. Also, Bertrand wants to play in the Champions League, as does his teammate striker Danny Ings.

Bertrand's contract runs to the end of this season.
