Departing Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is excited to be signing for Fenerbahce.
Ozil is set to ink terms with Fener today.
"I am very excited. I said it in my speeches. I'm from Fenerbahce. I'm so happy," Ozil is reported as saying by Turkish football journalist Ekrem Konur.
"I see you when I come, Ridvan Hocam. Thank God it was Fenerbahce. I am very happy. As a Fenerbahceli, God has given me the right to wear that jersey. I will wear the Fenerbahce jersey with pride!"
Ozil is set to sign a deal to 2024 with Fener after securing a pay-off from his Arsenal contract on the weekend.
