Mainz coach Bo Svensson has confirmed Jean-Phillippe Mateta is on his way to Crystal Palace.
Svensson has revealed that Mateta is due for a medical check-up in London.
"If everything goes well, as we believe, then the deal falls into place," Svensson told Sky Deutschland.
The 23-year-old Mateta has scored seven goals for Mainz this season.
The striker is set to join Palace on-loan with a permanent option for June.
