Spartak Moscow chief Shamil Gazizov has revisited their failure to sign Tottenham fullback Serge Aurier last month.
Spartak pushed hard to land the Ivory Coast international during the winter market.
Gazizov told Komment.show: “The most disappointing failed transfer at Spartak? Aurier.
"We had already agreed, but then certain things arose. Tottenham was in favour, Aurier was in favour, but then a certain story happened...
"A lot of intermediaries called and said: 'We will decide, we will knock out more money'. This was confirmed by his agent.
"Aurier was the first to have an eye on this. When they were refused, we decided to take (Victor) Moses (from Chelsea)."
