Burnley boss Sean Dyche admits they were 'flat' for their 0-0 draw with 10-man West Brom.

The relegation-threatened Baggies came closest to earning a third win of the campaign in a game of precious few clear-cut openings.

And after seeing the visitors spurn two golden chances to win it late on, the Clarets boss was relieved to add another point to the total.

“I'm pleased to get a point because we were miles off," admitted Dyche. “I demand a lot of these players, but today looked like a game too far.

“We looked flat and had no spark, not even that mental clarity. Physically, the players are still working, but that mental clarity to play was miles away from what we are used to.

“We are stretched to the limit now, and that's showed. We were limited in what we could do and limited in what we had available to change things.

“We do need players to get fit again, because that was unrecognisable from what we normally are."
