Brighton boss Graham Potter doesn't want Solly March to rush his playing return.

The left wing-back has undergone successful surgery on his injured knee.

Early indications are he will miss 12 weeks, taking him to the end of April.

Potter said: “He has had the surgery and it has gone well.

“It's good for him and it's positive for his long term that there's no major problems.

“His recovery will be quite slow, but necessary.

“It's a blow for Solly and for us because he has been really good, he's important and we will miss him.

“That's football and we have to find a solution."
