Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo has signed for Nice on loan for the rest of the season after cutting his spell at Benfica short.
The defender only made two appearances for Benfica after joining from Barcelona at the beginning of the campaign.
Despite the Blaugrana's defensive problems and Eric Garcia's non-arrival in January, Ronald Koeman opted not to bring Todibo back to the Camp Nou.
Instead, he will return to Ligue 1, where he impressed enough at Toulouse to attract the attention of Barcelona two years ago.
Nice have the option to buy the 21-year-old at the end of the season for 8.5 million euros up front and another seven million euros in add-ons. Barcelona signed him for one million euros, plus two million euros in add-ons, in 2019.
