Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa insists he'd welcome the signing of Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.
Freixa was against signing Garcia in January, but says he'd welcome the Spaniard in June when he comes off contract.
He told Radio Marca: "He was on everyone's lips because we had the opportunity to do something at the winter market and it was not done because there were different points of view among the candidates.
"He is a player who we consider, after talking to the coaches, that he is the central defender who should come and it would be good for us to assure him when he finishes his contract on June 30. Hopefully he will come to Barça."
