LABUAN: Kota Kinabalu City Hall should seriously consider naming a road in the State Capital after former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Peter Lo in recognition of his enormous contributions in safeguarding Sabah’s interests before the territory was handed over to Malayan jurisdiction by the British on Sept 16, 1963. Although there were other leaders who exhibited resistance to the hurried decolonisation of Sabah in 1963, Lo being a lawyer pressed for safeguards in the form of the 20 Points for which Sabahans and Sarawakians are eternally grateful, “ said former Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Sec-Gen Roger Foo.
