TAWAU: Sabah Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan (pic) wants the newly appointed Chinese community leaders or Kapitan to play an important role in bridging the gap between the Chinese community and the State Government.

He said the Kapitan should use the trust given to them by the Sabah Government to the best of their ability in carrying out the responsibility of conveying the right messages, including the Government’s efforts towards the progress of the Chinese community in the State.
