Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has dismissed suggestions he was offered the job as Newcastle United manager back in 2015.
After Alan Pardew's departure at the end of 2014, rumours circulated about his possible replacement while John Carver took the job on an interim basis.
"I just heard it and it feels like I missed an opportunity here because I never talked to any officials from Newcastle," Tuchel told Sky Sports.
"Maybe I have to ask my lawyer if he missed some calls or if he was on holiday or whatever.
"I just heard this in the press conference and I was never aware that this was a possibility."
