Liverpool failed with a massive offer for Juventus defender Mehri Demiral in January, it has been revealed.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Juventus have been resisting several attempts, including from the Reds for Demiral.
It's claimed that he and Matthijs de Ligt are seen as the natural successors of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci at the Old Lady, and are having the chance to prove it this season.
As such, Juventus are determined to keep hold of Demiral in the future.
And word has reached Liverpool intermediaries that it's "useless" to try and convince them to sell.
