Borussia Monchengladbach are resigned to selling Didier Zakaria this summer.
BILD says Zakaria is looking increasingly likely to leave Gladbach in the summer.
The 24-year-old is out of contract in 2022 and has been stalling on a contract extension.
Gladbach had hoped that it would be possible to agree on a new deal that would include a release clause, but Zakaria appears to have set his sights on a summer departure.
Manchester City are in contact with Gladbach and preparing to offer €40m for the Switzerland international.
In need for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, City have identified Zakaria as a solution.
