Shola Shoretire will not travel with Manchester United for Thursday's crunch Europa League clash with AC Milan.
The 17-year-old was on the bench for the first leg in Manchester last week, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the exciting attacker would be playing for the U23s against Tottenham on Friday.
"Shola [Shoretire] will be playing for the Under-23, so we felt it was right for him," Solskjaer said.
On Eric Bailly, he added: "Eric is being assessed. With regards to decision-making on what team we're going to play, let's see how everyone feels tomorrow."
