In the ongoing YONEX All England Open 2021, the Indonesian team has withdrawn due to

An individual traveling onboard with the team recently tested positive for Covid-19, leading to the team being self-isolated for 10-days.

The Indonesian team was contacted by the UK Government’s National Health Service (NHS) Test and Trace service to be self-isolated effective immediately.

Unfortunately, this means that the second round, which is scheduled today, will proceed without all Indonesian players.

Despite this hiccup, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton England will continue to keep all protocols set by the UK Government and the local health authorities to ensure the safety of all participants.

While this is ill-fated for our neighbouring country, Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has assured The Vibes that all Malaysian players have been retested negative and are free to play. - The Vibes, March 18, 2021
