Former Brighton striker Bobby Zamora hopes they can keep hold of Tariq Lampty.
The young fullback is being linked with Arsenal.
Bot Zamora told talkSPORT: "He is only 20 years old and needs to play as much as possible and he has to do that in Brighton. I think it was right of him to leave Chelsea - and to take the step to a bigger club now, in my opinion, would be the wrong decision.
"He is loved in Brighton, the manager likes him and he is a key player in the team.
"Why should he stress? He has plenty of time to play for one of the biggest clubs."
