Roma fullback Leonardo Spinazzola says Italy should be happy with their 2-0 defeat of World Cup qualifying opponents Bulgaria.
The Azzurri beat both Northern Ireland and Bulgaria 2-0 in their opening 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
“It was not to be taken for granted. We had to win, take home the three points and knew Bulgaria had some tough players," Spinazzola told RAI Sport.
“Every free kick they had was like a siege and they have a lot of height. We had to play dirty at times, but we got the job done.
“They came and pressed us man for man in the second half and we had trouble moving the ball around, but we got the result."
