Former Norway coach Drillo Olsen has urged national team boss Stale Solbakken to build his side around Martin Odegaard.

Solbakken has named the Arsenal midfielder the country's captain.

Drillo told VG: "It is a very exciting crew. Then he must be able to use the players in the right way. We must utilise the creative power of Ødegaard, and the finishing skills of (Erling) Haaland. It looks very bright and exciting.

"I'm excited about whether Ståle will use Martin centrally or on the winger. I think he is best centrally because there he gets to use his vision, creativity and technique the most.

"I have very great faith in Ståle, but which players he should choose and how he should compose the team, I am not in a position to say anything about."
