Trailer accident causes massive jam

Kota Kinabalu: A trailer accident snagged traffic along Jalan Pintas, opposite Hotel No 5, for more than two hours, Friday.

The trailer driver is believed to have lost control, causing the head and half of the vehicle to plunge into a drain.

The other two quarters of the trailer’s body were blocking traffic heading towards Donggongon, leaving only half lane for the traffic to pass through.

All drivers heading towards Donggongon, including those coming from Cyber City, Kopungit and Lido, were stuck in the two-hour standstill, which was finally cleared at 4.50pm.

The driver was not seen as he was receiving treatment at the hospital due to minor injuries.
