Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would not be drawn on whether Fabinho will play in defence or midfield against RB Leipzig.
The Brazilian is the utility man at the Reds, especially given the injuries they have sustained this term.
He has often filled in for Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez at centre-half, but has also played midfield when his manager has trusted other defenders to step up.
Asked about Fabinho ahead of the round of 16 second leg Champions League game with RB Leipzig, Klopp said: "I don't know with Fab. I know, but I don't say, let me say it like this.
"It's an opportunity to use Fab, that is good.
"We didn't play him from the beginning (against Fulham) because after being out for a long time then playing two games in a row makes no sense, or it is too dangerous in our situation, actually.
"And now he is ready but if he will play at centre-half or in midfield, that decision you will see tomorrow."
