A 160-METRE stretch of the 2.5km Jalan Penampang Lama, in Penampang, which was closed to traffic due to a landslide, has finally been repaired after five years. It was learnt that the contractor started repairing the stretch last year. The asphalt installation process began on Monday and will be followed by road surface marking before it is handed over to the Sabah Public Works Department (JKR).
JKR will make an announcement of the date when the public can use the road. The stretch connects the road from Pavillion to Penampang or Beverly to Lintas Plaza and Lido.
