Travelling to Sabah for Nikah allowed with permission

Kota Kinabalu: Those wanting to travel to Sabah for the purpose of getting married (nikah) must obtain special permission from the State Government, said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic). 

“The male or female’s partner must present supporting documents whereas parents must show proof of relations. Close family members must also show proof of relations with supporting documents from the mosque or the Sabah Islamic Affairs Department (Jheains) office. Other social visits are not allowed into Sabah,” he said in a statement, Friday.
