Manchester United chiefs are confident Bruno Fernandes offers them an edge in the race for Wolves attacker Pedro Neto.
Indeed, United have tasked Fernandes with convincing Wolves star Neto to agree a summer switch to Old Trafford.
United are said to be considering Neto as an option for next season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lacking out-and-out wingers and often choosing to deploy Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial on the flanks as a result.
Football Insider says United are convinced that Fernandes can play an important role in their pursuit of Neto, according to Football Insider.
The pair are currently with the Portugal camp for the international break, and both featured in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Azerbaijan, with Neto starting the match and Fernandes coming off the bench at half-time.
The Wolves forward was signed from Lazio in 2019 for a modest fee of just £16million, but would likely cost United significantly more after proving himself at Premier League level.
However, the report claims that Neto is unlikely to be sold for any more than £40m if United decide to act on their interest during the summer.
