Derby County boss Wayne Rooney is eyeing former Manchester United teammate Phil Jones.
Goal says Derby are interested in a move for Jones.
Rooney's side currently have young United centre-back Tegen Mengi on loan, but have been linked with the more experienced England international Jones, who is surplus to requirements at the club right now.
The 28-year-old will be available for £10million in the summer.
Local rivals Burnley have also been mentioned as a potential destination for Jones.
