Right people must lead depts, not political appointees: NGO

Kota Kinabalu: Non-governmental organisation Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ekonomi Semangat Bersatu Malaysia (Pembela) wants the State Government to appoint only those who are qualified and can get the job done to head key departments instead of political appointees.

Referring to the months-long water supply problem facing 5,000 residents at University Apartments and in other parts of the State, it said the time had come to walk the talk in solving such issues in the State.
